Aung La N Sang has world-class skills, but his teammate Martin Nguyen believes his work ethic might be his strongest trait.
Nguyen and 'The Burmese Python' have been working alongside one another at Kill Cliff FC. Over the last couple of months, Martin Nguyen has noticed an unwavering drive from the former two-division champ.
He told SCMP MMA:
"Everything that has happened to Aung [La N Sang] in the last eight weeks that I’ve been here, he deserves it all. He’s been in back-to-back camps, plus he’s been over in the Philippines cornering our other brother Tial [Thang]."

'The Situ-Asian' added:
"He came back straight away and put a solid four or five weeks in. These things, his work ethic, and how he carries himself. It’s truly inspiring. Having that around you, it kind of gives you a little bit of that momentum boost."

Aung La N Sang says fans should expect an improved Martin Nguyen against Shamil Gasanov
Nguyen is prepping for his matchup with Shamil Gasanov at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. Aung La believes fans will see a new and improved version of the long-time ONE veteran.
He told SCMP MMA:
"Yeah, I’ll be here in February for Martin’s fight as well and be in his corner. I know Martin’s working his butt off. He’s in that same boat as I was in a while, you know, coming off losses. And he’s working super hard, you guys are gonna be in for a treat. He’s working very hard."
Nguyen has lost three of his last four bouts, all by way of finish. However, the 33-year-old is determined to prove he still has what it takes to compete at an elite level.
He briefly showed that in his third-round knockout over Kirill Gorobets last March. Now, he's searching for a winning streak in hopes of earning a title shot.
Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch Martin Nguyen take on Shamil Gasanov in a pivotal featherweight bout, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
