On Friday Night, Martin Nguyen will share the stage with Fabricio Andrade as ONE Championship brings a stacked lineup to Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
ONE Fight Night 7 will play host to one of the biggest rematches in promotional history as No. 1 ranked bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade goes for ONE gold. Standing in his way is former ONE bantamweight world titleholder John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker.
Before returning to the ring himself, Martin Nguyen spoke about Fabricio Andrade’s impressive skill set and his mentality going into Friday’s headliner:
“Fabricio is just on another level at the moment... I think mentally, after that no contest in the last fight. He knows that he's somewhat the champion.”

Friday night won’t be the first time Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker have squared off with a ONE world title on the line. In October, the pair were matched up in the ONE on Prime Video 3 main event, but an ill-placed knee by Andrade in the fourth round resulted in the bout being dubbed a no-contest, leaving ONE without a bantamweight world champion in the process.
Four months removed from their anticlimactic finish, fans will finally find out who truly is the undisputed ONE bantamweight world champion.
Fabricio Andrade on how he dealt with the controversial no-contest
After fighting his way to a ONE world title opportunity over the course of two years, Fabricio Andrade was ready to capitalize on his long-awaited opportunity at ONE gold.
Though Andrade didn’t lose his title fight against John Lineker in October, he definitely didn’t win either. Ahead of their highly anticipated rematch on Friday night, ‘Wonder Boy’ discussed his mental state following the unfortunate finish in their initial meeting:
"After the fight, I had to just my head out of it, you know? Because I was too stressed about everything and I just had to get past all of that stuff... But now I just feel like it’s gonna happen, you know, it’s gonna happen."
He added:
“I was asking so many times for the title shot and I kept fighting, knocking people out, it doesn’t happen and then I finally get it and almost knock him out, and don’t get the belt, just like, ‘Damn!’ It’s hard to explain."
Fans in North America can catch Andrade vs. Lineker II live and for free on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription in U.S. primetime.
