ONE veteran Martin Nguyen is scheduled to face Shamil Gasanov at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. 'The Situ-Asian' is excited to compete in the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for the first time.
The 33-year-old faces a critical crossroads in his career, losing three of his last four bouts. Nguyen still believes he has what it takes to climb the ladder en route to another world title opportunity.
Despite appearing in nearly 20 matches inside the circle, Martin Nguyen has never performed at Thailand's Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. He's looking forward to crossing that off his bucket list in his next outing, telling SCMP MMA:
"What a huge honor it is for me. I’m always hearing it like Lumpinee champions, Lumpinee fighter, and Lumpinee Stadium. You just kind of take what everyone else has been talking about it. To finally experience it for myself, I’m very excited and even honored to just even step foot in that stadium. So I can’t wait."

Martin Nguyen is grateful for his support system, which includes former champion Aung La N Sang
Fighting professionally for over a decade, 'The Situ-Asian' has had a lot of help along the way from his strong support system. Recently, a new supporter came along to help Nguyen.
In the same interview, he said:
“Fortunately enough for me, I have a great support system. My wife steps up and leads the family well while I’m away. I get to hang out with Aung La [N Sang] and his family and that kind of brings the family vibe. I’m blessed to have people like Aung La in my life.”
Aung La N Sang has been working with Nguyen at Kill Cliff FC in Florida, where the pair train and hang out together. The duo seem to really be benefiting from one another's company, as they both gun for title shots.
Nguyen has shared the circle with some of the promotion's biggest names, including Christian Lee, Kevin Belingon, and Bibiano Fernandes, to name a few.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch Martin Nguyen take on Shamil Gasanov in a pivotal featherweight bout, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
