Marvin Vettori has taken to X/Twitter to shed some light on his recent brawl with Brendan Allen, which took place inside a casino following the PFL 8 event. The two middleweights can be seen surrounded by a crowd of spectators, many of whom began filming the impending altercation.
Clips of the brawl show Allen storming toward Vettori, cracking him twice with punches. The punches were reportedly in response to the Italian having previously attacked UFC light heavyweight George Tokkos. Regardless of the reason behind the melee, Vettori claims to have done better than the clips implied.
In a recent tweet, he revealed that he is nursing an arm injury that rendered him one-armed and that he may have landed his own strikes on Allen prior to the filming of the brawl despite allegedly being outnumbered seven to one.
"One armed with 7 guys on the other side but show your face because I may have clipped u couple time before the recording lol"

Moreover, Vettori challenged Allen to post pictures of his own face, claiming to have marked him up with unfilmed blows. The brawl drew the attention of UFC CEO Dana White, who poked fun at the PFL, claiming that the melee between his two middleweights was likely the most exciting fight of the evening.
However, the promotion has not been thrilled with the idea of its fighters brawling outside of the octagon as of late. Muhammad Mokaev's various attempts at attacking Manel Kape, some of which succeeded, did not endear him to the UFC brass, among other undisclosed behavioral problems White alluded to.
Marvin Vettori and Brendan Allen were previously scheduled to fight
Marvin Vettori hasn't fought, inside the octagon at least, in over a year, with his last appearance having been a lopsided beating at the hands of Jared Cannonier on June 17, 2023. However, he was scheduled to take on Brendan Allen back in April at UFC Fight Night 240.
Unfortunately, Vettori withdrew from the bout due to injury, which may very well be an arm injury he alluded to in his recent tweet. Regardless, given Vettori's penchant for rage-fueled trash talk, which he aimed at Allen, threatening to fight him the moment they cross paths, it sparked a feud that has now culminated in a brawl.
