Footage of UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira training with Hollywood star and Aikido master Steven Seagal has sparked widespread reactions online.
Seagal, known for his martial arts films and his 7th Dan Aikido black belt, attempted to impart his unique fighting techniques to Pereira, whose striking prowess has earned him titles in both the UFC and Glory Kickboxing.
Seagal has long claimed to have influenced UFC legends like Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva. But, many fans remain skeptical of his practical fighting skills, labeling his approach as outdated or impractical in real combat.

Conor McGregor weighs in on Alex Pereira moving up to heavyweight
Conor McGregor has expressed his thoughts on Alex Pereira's future, suggesting that the Brazilian fighter should consider moving to the heavyweight division. In a recent interview with The Schmo, McGregor commented on Pereira's struggles with cutting weight, particularly during his most recent fight preparation.
"Yeah, I think that would be a viable next move for him. I think he had a difficult enough weight cut, if you could see now. In fairness, his coach came out [and] said he was maybe under the weather, he was on antibiotics. I've experienced something similar. It makes everything that much more difficult so maybe he is fine at light heavyweight."
The Irish fighter also floated the idea of either himself or Pereira attempting to become the UFC’s first three-division champion.
