Matt Frevola has set his sights on Paddy Pimblett after a strong showing at UFC 281 on Saturday.
Matt Frevola finally was able to fight Ottman Azaitar after a long wait. Their bout was originally scheduled for January 2021, but suffered from several delays. Once the bout took place, however, Frevola only needed two and a half minutes to put Azaitar away. 'The Steamroller' connected with a series of punches that rendered Azaitar unconscious in the first round.

After his impressive performance, Frevola made it clear that Pimblett is his next target. During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, the lightweight up-and-comer said:
"Listen up, Paddy 'The Baddy' better win that fight because me and Paddy in London, that's the fight to make, baby. Let's go, I'm ready to go."

UFC president previously Dana White has confirmed that the UFC will put together a homecoming event for Leon Edwards' first title defense in 2023. London and Cardiff are the two venues being considered.
By calling out Pimblett, Frevola is hoping to get himself on the upcoming England card against one of the country's most popular stars. But first, Pimblet will have to deal with Jared Gordon. The Liverpudlian is set to return to action at UFC 282 on December 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Matt Frevola compares Paddy Pimblett to Conor McGregor
Matt Frevola revealed that he's dead set on wanting to fight Paddy Pimblett.
The New Yorker made it clear that he wants to fight 'The Baddy' regardless of the outcome of his fight against Jared Gordon next month.
"Honestly, Paddy's got a tough fight," Frevola said during his post-fight press conference. "Jared Gordon is very good, but win, lose, or draw – even if Paddy goes out there and gets smoked by Jared – I wanna fight Paddy in London."
Asked why he chose to call Pimblett out, Frevola revealed that the Brit reminded him of a young Conor McGregor. With that in mind, Frevola added that he wanted to experience fighting someone who brings an "electric" atmosphere into the fights:
"I love the atmosphere that [Paddy Pimblett] brings to the fight game. It's electric, you know. The way Conor McGregor was coming up he brings such an atmosphere to the fight. It's amazing and he's a great fighter, you know. And I think me and him will go out there and bang and put on a great fight for the fans."
