In his most recent activity on X, 'El Matador' didn't mince his words when addressing his detractors, who are mostly comprised of Holloway fans, saying:

"To all those who continue to doubt me. Screw all of you, I don't care about any of you. You just project your insecurities onto me. Your envy, born from your inability to pursue your desires, poisons the heart. Keep watching me shine!"

Ilia Topuria claims Max Holloway is causing delay in their potential fight announcement

In an interview with Spanish sports outlet Marca, Ilia Topuria shed some light on why his much-anticipated fight with UFC BMF champion and former divisional ruler Max Holloway hasn't been made official yet.

He said:

"It's not because of me. They [the UFC] called me to say that Max Holloway was having family issues, that he was having trouble cutting weight, and that he wanted to fight in a higher weight class. Honestly, I don't know. I have no idea. (translated from Spanish)"
