Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway recently engaged in a fiery war of words leading up to their highly anticipated title clash at UFC 308. 'El Matador' is poised to defend his UFC featherweight championship against Holloway on Oct. 26 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
With just over two weeks remaining until the bout, the tension between Topuria and Holloway is already reaching a boiling point, as evident in their recent interview with ESPN MMA, where neither held back while trading barbs at each other.
During their conversation, Topuria highlighted Holloway's losses throughout his professional career, contrasting them with his own undefeated record:
"You already know how it feels to bounce back [from a loss]. You already have seven professional defeats, and I have zero."
'Blessed' fired back:
"I took a lot of people's donuts; I hope you like churros because you are about to get one come Oct. 26, buddy."

Ilia Topuria urges Max Holloway to match his striking brilliance from Justin Gaethje's bout at UFC 308
In the same ESPN MMA interview, Ilia Topuria threw down the gauntlet, daring Max Holloway to engage in fierce striking exchanges from the very start of their showdown at UFC 308.
'El Matador' challenged Holloway to bring the same relentless stand-and-trade intensity that he unleashed in the final frame of his UFC 300 clash with Justin Gaethje:
"I challenge you to have that exchange, but in the first 10 seconds of the fight. You will see what is going to happen. When you face a fighter like me inside the octagon, who brings that technique and power, you can’t do that. I’m going to take your head off in the first 10 seconds." [7:16]
'Blessed' secured a last-second knockout victory over Gaethje after challenging the former UFC interim lightweight champion to trade blows in the center of the octagon during the final moments of their BMF title clash this past April.
