If things go Anatoly Malykhin’s way this Friday, he will possibly dominate both the ONE heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions for years to come. However, he has to first get past ‘The Dutch Knight’ Reinier de Ridder, the man with the light heavyweight gold currently around his waist.
De Ridder and Malykhin are scheduled to square off in the highly-anticipated ONE on Prime Video 5 this Friday night. Entering the bout as the reigning ONE interim heavyweight champion, the Russian juggernaut has dreams of dual-division glory followed by a lengthy reign of dominance.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Malykhin shared his plans going forward, including aspirations for an office job with the promotion once he decides to hang up his gloves:
“Not if, but after I beat de Ridder I want to rule the heavyweight and the light heavyweight divisions until I am 40, if I feel comfortable in this weight. Then I can give a beautiful last fight, thank all the fans, the team members, and Mr. Chatri for treating me and my family so well.”

Malykhin continued by saying:
“Then I can hug everyone, shed a tear, take my gloves off, and put them in the center of the ring and leave. However, maybe if I learn English well enough, ONE can find a place for me because it has a very cool team and it is a great promotion.”
Anatoly Malykhin is happy to share the circle with Reinier de Ridder
With an undefeated record inside the circle backed by a 100% finish rate, all by way of knockout, Anatoly Malykhin has more than proved his worth in ONE Championship. However, the Russian juggernaut will face his toughest test yet when he takes on another undefeated star with a penchant for finishing his opponents, Reinier de Ridder.
With ONE gold, undefeated records, and a heap of pride on the line, Anatoly Malykhin believes Friday night’s main event clash will be an event watched by millions of fans around the world.
“I'm excited about challenges like that. He's a great fighter, a great athlete. I will be happy to share the circle with him. I'm sure it will be the event of the year. We'll show a beautiful fight that will get millions of views.”
ONE on Prime Video 5 will air live and for free in North America with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
