Former ONE world champion Nong-O Hama may have a surprise up his sleeve when he returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, Sept. 27.

Following a big win over Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Nong-O will look to climb back into the bantamweight Muay Thai title picture when he meets undefeated Russian standout Kiamrian Nabati at ONE Friday Fights 81.

Gunning for his 266th career win and 12th under the ONE Championship banner, the No. 3-ranked Thai superstar recently revealed that he may keep his kicks holstered in favor of a completely different game plan against his 29-year-old opposition.

Speaking to South China Morning Post, Nong-O said:

"It all depends on the game plan in the ring, and maybe I will not focus on my kicks. Maybe it would be something else, I don't know, we will see in the ring."

Despite losing two of his last three fights, Nong-O continues to hold strong as the third-ranked contender in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

A win over Nabati is unlikely to earn him a shot against new titleholder Superlek Kiatmoo9, but it certainly won't hurt his chances of bagging a future fight with 'The Kicking Machine.'

Nong-O Hama sees Kiamrian Nabati as a good challenge for his next fight

Before Nong-O Hama can even consider a potential scrap with Superlek, he'll have to deal with a fighter who has never once known defeat.

Kiamrian Nabati goes into his fourth promotional appearance with a perfect 21-0 record, including a trio of wins against Pongsiri PK Saenchai, Avatar PK Saenchai, and Suablack.

Nong-O added:

"I think Kiamran is great. He's a great fighter, and also his winning streak is pretty good. I view him as a challenge for myself because I also won a great winning streak as well. I don't think this fight would be any problem."
