Decorated jiu-jitsu world champion Mayssa Bastos of Brazil knows that her upcoming match in ONE Championship may very well be the most important of her career.
The 26-year-old is set to face the United States' Danielle Kelly for the ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world title this weekend and wants to prove that she's the best atomweight grappler in the world by beating the American star.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Bastos says she is laser-focused on beating Kelly and capturing ONE gold.

The 26-year-old said:
"The best grappler will be the one who wins this fight. And if I beat her, proving that I'm better, then you can ask me that question again."
Bastos joined the world's largest martial arts organization last March, where she faced Japanese star Kanae Yamada at ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video in Thailand.
The Brazilian star took home a unanimous decision in a tough battle and announced her arrival on the world stage. The five-time world champion will be vying for ONE gold in her next match, which will determine the best female grappler at 115 pounds.
