Merab Dvalishvili never misses an opportunity to make fun of Sean O'Malley, as evidenced by his recent mockery of O'Malley's New Year's resolution. In the run-up to their title fight last year, Dvalishvili uploaded several hilarious sketches aimed at 'Sugar', demonstrating his amusing personality.
For context, UFC recently posted pictures on Instagram asking fighters about their New Year's resolutions. O'Malley's response was not to engage in any sexual activity. He wrote:
''No s*x til next fight''

In response, Dvalshvili trolled O'Malley in a now-deleted X post, writing:
''Hey Sean O'Malley-that is a weak move- you could use way more cardio training !''
Following much social media back-and-forth, Dvalishvili challenged O'Malley for the bantamweight title at Noche UFC 306 last year at the Sphere. 'The Machine' put on a dominant display of his wrestling prowess and captured the UFC gold via unanimous decision.
Dvalishvili is now scheduled to make his maiden title defense against Umar Nurmagomedov in the co-main event of UFC 311 on Jan 18. The two have a lot of animosity heading into the title fight, with the Georgian frequently claiming that Nurmagomedov is unworthy of the title shot.
Dvalishvili criticized the undefeated Dagestani in an interview with Megan Olivi on the UFC's YouTube channel, saying:
''Umar is a good fighter, it’s a big challenge. But he don’t earn it like the rest of us. We all know, we all work hard to get here and I don’t get anything easy but Umar somehow gets easy.''

Umar Nurmagomedov issues a stern warning to Merab Dvalishvili
Umar Nurmagomedov has the opportunity to be the latest member of the Dagestani camp to become a UFC champion when he faces Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title at UFC 311 later this month.
Ahead of their matchup, Nurmagomedov sent a strong warning to Dvalishvili in an interview on UFC's YouTube channel, saying:
''For me, he has to go deep waters. For me, it’s going to be a long night. I will not give him takedowns; he will not control me. I have good skills, striking skills, and I can make for him a lot of problems. That’s why. But when we go inside the cage, I will not think he’s scared of me. I will know this is a man who will try to beat me. I am a man who will try to smash him, and it’s going to be a battle.'' [H/t: MMA Fighting]
