UFC bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili recently shared his opinion on Sean O'Malley's win over Petr Yan at UFC 280.
According to Merab Dvalishvili, there was a scoring controversy in the recent fight between Petr Yan and Sean O'Malley. Although the judges gave O'Malley the victory, Dvalishvili believes that Yan won the fight, albeit it was a very close one.
'The Machine's perspective is that his next opponent Yan was able to display a more effective overall game plan, which included a higher rate of takedowns and landing more significant strikes. While O'Malley had his moments in the fight, Dvalishvili felt that Yan's ability to control the pace and tempo of the fight gave him the edge.

"I mean when I was watching the fight, I thought Petr [won] but I understand when you leave like a new fight like these close, I understand you never know when judges how they gonna score you know.
