MMA fans have been reacting after Haliey Welch, the girl from the famous Hawk Tuah meme, revealed UFC star Sean O'Malley has been messaging her.
The Hawk Tuah meme has been one of 2024's biggest internet sensations, with Welch soon capitalizing on her fame. She has gained over a 2.5 million followers on her Instagram, made and sold merchandise and started her own podcast, Talk Tuah, which has become hugely popular.
During a recent episode of her show, Welch revealed she had received multiple messages and calls from Sean O'Malley, who is currently recovering from hip surgery. She said:
"What is that fella's name that's been messaging me all week? The O'Malley boy? Sean, yeah...He has a kid don't he? Dude he's so nice. He just conversates with me. He's like 'What are you doing?' I had like five missed calls from him. I was like 'What the f*ck?' ... He just had some kind of hip surgery."

Fans have since been reacting to the clip, with many opting to poke fun at O'Malley's expense. One fan even claimed that 'Suga's' actions were due to his defeat to Merab Dvalishvili. They wrote:

Sean O'Malley shares potential timeline for Merab Dvalishvili rematch
Sean O'Malley has provided an update regarding his return to the octagon, outlining when he believes he'll be ready to rematch Merab Dvalishvili.
'Suga' lost the bantamweight title to 'The Machine' at Noche UFC 306, suffering a unanimous decision defeat. He has since announced he has undergone much needed hip surgery and expects to be back in action around March next year.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani about his health and future, O'Malley stated that he hopes his return will take place in Miami early next year. He said:
"I'm saying March or April. I'm doing everything I can do to get back in there. My mindset, my ambition, my drive, everything is at an all-time high. I want to get back in the gym. I want to get back to work. I want to get back on the mats. I want to get back to do - I want to make that walk again and I want Merab next. I know I'm better than him. I need to right that wrong. I think Miami would just be sweet."
