MF & DAZN X Series 17: Gabriel Silva vs. Anthony Taylor: Full video highlights

Gabriel Silva vs. Anthony Taylor took place at MF & DAZN X Series 17 on Aug. 31 at the famous 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. It was a high-stakes bout on the card as it was contested for the MFB light heavyweight championship.

Silva came into the bout with an unbeaten record since turning pro last year. Although his official pro record is 1-0, he has earned back-to-back exhibition wins under the MF & DAZN banner including his most recent majority decision over Okemka Jibunor.

Taylor, on the other hand, came into the fight as the reigning MFB light heavyweight champion with a pro record of 7-5. He has become a fixture for MF & DAZN and most recently earned a second-round TKO win over Samuel Ericsson, which was his first title defense.

'Pretty Boy' immediately began by pressing the much taller Brazilian and caught him with hooks as he closed the distance before getting into the clinch. He continued by targeting Silva's body and appeared to have had the advantage in the opening round.

'Pretty Boy' continued to aggressively pressure the Brazilian at the start of the second round, which was effective as his opponent was unable to utilize his reach advantage. However, Silva improved in the second round as he was a lot more successful with timing his strikes and connected with body shots and strong left hooks to the head.

The third round was a much different story as Taylor came out firing and had Silva against the ropes, where he dropped him with a straight right to the head. It was an impressive performance for 'Pretty Boy' as he successfully retained his MFB light heavyweight championship.

Anthony Taylor made it known that he wants big-money fights after his impressive third-round TKO win over Gabriel Silva.

During his post-fight interview, Taylor called out several notable fighters including Floyd Mayweather and former UFC welterweight contender Darren Till. He said:

"Darren Till, I know you watching. Hey, if you see this message, bring it. Floyd Mayweather, I'll knock your little skinny a** out too. Bring it. You best believe, I ain't going nowhere."
