The UFC's resident action man 'Iron' Michael Chandler finally speaks out on the recent fight cancelation of his mega-payday clash with 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor at UFC 303 on June 29. Walking in the woods with a smartphone in hand, the heavy-handed wrestling specialist offered some thoughtful insights to his fans.

You can feel it in his words that 'Iron' is disappointed but has taken the time to process the whirlwind of changes that happened in the past few days.

The long-winded message explained when and how he received the call that McGregor got injured and the fight was potentially postponed to a later date.

Chandler said:

"I just got done with my last sparring session, Thursday morning [June 13]. Had been hearing rumblings since Monday [June 10], obviously. But really got the call about an hour after my last sparring session was completed...The happiest and healthiest and hardest to kill and most dangerous man I have ever been in my entire life in that moment to thirty minutes later getting a phone call that all of that was for naught. Or was it?"

Michael Chandler continued, saying:

"Reminds me of the story of the man at the bottom of the hill where God comes to him with a vision that says, 'I need you to push this rock'. And the man pushes it and pushes it and pushes it. His shoulders are bleeding his hands are bleeding...finally quits and looks up and asks 'why would you tell me to push this rock up the hill if you knew I wasn't gonna be able to do it?' [God] said 'Son, you misunderstood what I said. I didn't tell to push the rock up the hill just because the rock was at the base of the hill. Doesn't mean I'm telling you to push the rock, up the hill, I was just telling you to PUSH the rock'. Sometimes in life, the best thing you can be is to be obedient to the cause. Obedient to the grind. Obedient to the process. And the result is gonna take care of itself...So what do I do now? A little bit of uncertainty in my life. When's this fight gonna happen?"
