Michael Chandler seems to be a fan of a particular Jordan Peterson ethos as evidenced by the UFC lightweight's social media. The Canadian psychologist and author was seen engaging in an interview exchange where Peterson espoused the virtues on being competent as well as dangerous.

When the interviewer seemed to push back a bit on the word dangerous and question the use of it, the former University professor said being dangerous is the alternative to being weak and that weak is not good. Chandler shared the clip of Peterson to his Instagram story with corresponding text overtop stating:

"I've heard this so many times...and every time it is just as impactful. Men please listen to this. Refuse to be emasculated by a society that wants you weak and easily controllable. Being dangerous is the alternative to being weak. There is no virtue in being weak. Weak is not good. Weakness masquerading as "good" has been shoved down our throats."

Michael Chandler and the strength to course correct

Michael Chandler will get another opportunity to showcase how dangerous he is in the coming weeks after being outside of the cage for a lengthy period. The former multi-time Bellator lightweight champion was targeting a fight with Conor McGregor that has not happened yet.

The two men were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter and they had a planned bout for June. However, McGregor's toe injury caused their UFC 303 main event to fall by the wayside.

The 38-year-old has finally jumped back into active competition and will get back to the octagon after two years on the sidelines. Many fighters had previously been criticizing 'Iron' Michael for staying out of action so long to get this money fight versus McGregor including high ranked 155-pound combatant Arman Tsarukyan.

The Missouri native called out the number one ranked lightweight UFC fighter recently for what he saw as hypocrisy. Tsarukyan seems focused on fighting for the undisputed belt next and is willing to wait for current champion Islam Makhachev to return from injury.

Chandler brought up the 'pot meet kettle' analogy to Tsarukyan and seems confident he can get another crack at the crown if he prevails over Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 in November.
