Michael Chandler recently resorted to his funny side to provide a hilarious reply to a fan's comment about his physique. Despite Chandler being a walking and talking mortal, the fan compared his build to a household electrical appliance.
In an earlier interview, Chandler mentioned that his walk-around weight mostly lies between 180 to 190 pounds. This is why he had agreed to fight Conor McGregor as a welterweight at the later-canceled UFC 303 main event.
But currently, Chandler is putting in a lot of effort in the training camp for his UFC 309 fight against Charles Oliveira. A recent Instagram post from ESPN MMA showcased that 'Iron's' body had gotten pretty jacked up from his hard training sessions.

However, one fan wasn't very impressed by Chandler's physique. He put out his thoughts in the comments section, writing:
"Idk [I don't know] why, but I just hate how blocky his frame is. Dude's literally built like a refrigerator."
Chandler used the fan's comparison to pen a hilarious reply. He mentioned that he was also born as a refrigerator.
"I know…it’s so unfortunate, my parents prayed for anything but a block-like child…then on April 24, 1986, their greatest fears were confirmed…my mother gave birth to a refrigerator. Life isn’t fair."
Michael Chandler details his plans for his next fight after UFC 309
Currently, Michael Chandler is leaving no stone unturned to train for his upcoming fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309. Chandler recently appeared in an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri, where he shed light on his plans for his next fight.
Despite the fiasco, Chandler's words implied that he still has the Conor McGregor fights in his sights. He said:
"The title was the number one goal, but there is some unfinished business. Chandler vs. McGregor, [The Ultimate Fighter 31], that chapter needs to close at some point. Conor wants that fight."
Apart from this, he also disclosed some more about his plans for 2025.
"Islam is fighting probably in January... He's gonna go into Ramadan in February, all of March, won't be able to go into training camp until April. Won't be able to fight until June/July. I'm not trying to wait till June or July so Conor could sneak in there. We could see Chandler vs. Oliveira, Chandler vs. Conor, Chandler vs. Islam, Chandler vs. Max [Holloway]. The craziest four or five-fight run in a 12-month period that anyone's ever seen."
