Mike Perry has responded to BKFC head David Feldman's remarks about a matchup between him and a UFC veteran. Perry, apparently in support of the notion, claimed that he is now getting ready for the possible fight.

Perry found himself in a difficult situation, as he expressed his concerns about the lack of activity inside the ring on his podcast. However, BKFC president David Feldman recently stated on The Ariel Helwani Show that the company is currently negotiating a deal with the UFC to book former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler against Perry:

''We’re working on it, Yeah, [Robbie wants to do it]. We’re working out a deal with the UFC. That’s a sick fight right? I’ll know [if it’s going to happen] in two weeks, and if it doesn’t happen then, it will be someone else [against Perry] then possibly him. A lot of people are calling out Mike Perry now. This is actually the good thing about the Jake Paul fight, everyone wants to fight him. They were scared to death of him… We’re talking to [Darren Till], too.”

Feldman's remarks regarding Perry's future were reposted by the BKFC star, who stated that he is getting ready for a formidable foe, writing:

''I’m training, getting ready to face dangerous opposition bare knuckle ! Nobody wanted it, now they think it’s a game, everything happens for a reason. Let’s GO @bareknucklefc''

Perry previously called out Lawler, who was in the audience at a BKFC event in Florida last month.

Lawler announced his retirement from MMA following his first-round knockout win against Niko Price at UFC 290 in July 2023. Meanwhile, Perry's last BKFC appearance was at BKFC: Knuckle Mania 4 last year, where he knocked out Thiago Alves in the opening round.

What did Mike Perry say about his BKFC future?

Mike Perry expressed his worries about his future at BKFC in a Christmas episode of his Overdogs Podcast and held Conor McGregor responsible for the situation.

In addition to claiming that McGregor fired him for real, Perry offered his opinion on whether BKFC's decision to not schedule his fights was due to starting his own fighting organization.

He said:

''I'm just like fine, sure like offer me somebody, tell me what's going on, tell me something. I guess Conor really did fire me, what the f*ck, where's my fight at?...'[David] Feldman wished me luck [for Dirty Boxing], he wished us luck. He said, 'hey, I hope it goes well'. I don't think they are threatened by us, they are very high level in bare knuckle.''
