Rumors are afloat that Mike Tyson is set to be played by Hollywood A-lister Jamie Foxx, and the project is rumored to be helmed by Martin Scorcese. However, last month Foxx was hospitalized due to an undisclosed medical emergency. While the actor showed signs of recovery in early May, conflicting reports arose about Foxx being gravely ill.

Since late April, Jamie Foxx has been seeking treatment at a rehab facility in Chicago that specializes in 'strokes and brain injuries'. In a recent episode of Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson, his guest, rapper Tony Yayo, asked 'Iron' about Foxx playing him in the aforementioned rumored project with Martin Scorcese. Tyson didn't answer the former G-Unit member's question and responded with a counter-query.

Here's what Mike Tyson said:

"Can I ask you another question, man? You never ate starch before? The blue box of starch. We had no food, that was a delicacy. [We would eat it] and it would taste like chalk."

The Mike Tyson Hulu series that the famed boxer is uncomfortable with

One can speculate that Mike Tyson might have been uncomfortable with the question about Jamie Foxx and Martin Scorcese's movie on his life, because of an existing project. The project titled 'Mike,' which was released on the digital streaming service Hulu, chronicles the life and struggles of the famed former heavyweight champion

The show stars Trevante Rhodes as the titular character with Harvey Kietel playing his early mentor and coach Cus D'Amato. So far, the series has only one season. This isn't the first time that Tyson has been portrayed in popular media. In 1995, actor and martial artist Michael Jai White played 'Iron' in a movie called Tyson directed by Uli Edel.

However, Tyson was not happy with the Hulu series. Last August, the former boxing heavyweight champion took to his Instagram profile to voice his disdain for the show and the streaming service. Here's what his post said:

"Don't let Hulu fool you. I don't support their story about my life. It's not 1822, it's 2022. They stole my life story and didn't pay me. To Hulu executives, I'm just a n****r [that] they can sell on the auction block."

Mike Tyson is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers to ever step foot in the ring. He won the WBC heavyweight title at just age 20, becoming the youngest man to do so. Along with the WBC title, Tyson held the WBA and IBF titles as well. Tyson retired with a 50-6-2 record, and now runs a successful cannabis company called Tyson 2.0, as well as a hit podcast on YouTube.
