At ONE Fight Night 6, Mikey Musumeci defended his flyweight submission grappling world championship with a unanimous decision win over Gantumur Bayanduuren.
Through his years of elite grappling experience, which has seen him become a five-time IBJJF world champion, Musumeci experienced something new in this contest.
For the majority of the 10-minute match, the defending world champion had his opponent in serious danger by attacking his legs. In a display of toughness that had every single fan watching the contest through their fingers, Bayanduuren’s legs twisted and turned in ways that no human should ever experience.
Though he was unable to get the tap, it wasn’t for a lack of trying as ‘Darth Rigatoni’ had no option but to keep cranking away at his opponent's limbs.

In his post-fight interview, Mikey Musumeci spoke about how he has never seen anything like it. Even as the one inflicting the damage, he found it difficult to get through:
“I'm kind of nauseous right now. I'm really sick to my stomach. I never thought someone's leg [could] explode like that in a match. I've been training for 22 years, [and] I’ve never broken someone's leg that much.”
He added:
“Definitely, the most nauseous I've been after a match, but it was interesting.”
