Mikey Musumeci believes athletes who insist on using performance-enhancing substances to compete are doing a disservice to themselves.
After amassing a perfect 7-0 record inside the Circle, the reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion will return to combat sports' biggest global stage on Friday, September 6, for the chance to do what no man has done before.
Moving up three weight classes, Musumeci will challenge ONE lightweight submission grappling titleholder Kade Ruotolo in one of the most anticipated BJJ matches in ONE history. If 'Darth Rigatoni' comes out on top, he will become the first-ever two-division ONE submission grappling champ.

Before he heads to The Mile High City for a massive co-main event clash with Ruotolo at ONE 168: Denver, Musumeci offered his take on the recent surge of athletes in his sport who have admitted to using PEDs, either in the past or actively.
“I’m so healthy, young, and I have no injuries," Musucmeci told ONE. "Thank God. And I have so many more years in my career. While these people, they’re selling themselves short by just cheating and limiting their jiu-jitsu.”
Mikey Musumeci vs. Kade Ruotolo is a battle of the unbeaten at ONE 168: Denver
Mikey Musumeci's strategy of staying clean and eating lots of pizza and pasta appears to be working pretty well for him.
In roughly two and a half years with the organization, 'Darth Rigatoni' has bested some of the biggest names in ONE history, including interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks, Japanese legend Shinya Aoki, and multi-time BJJ gold-medalist Gabriel Sousa.
However, Musumeci will face his toughest test yet when he meets Kade Ruotolo at ONE 168: Denver, a grappler who, like himself, has never lost a match inside the Circle.
