ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci is one of – if not – the best Jiu-Jitsu competitors in the world.
With a decorated list of accolades under his resume, ‘Darth Rigatoni’ signed with ONE Championship to compete in high-level grappling contests on the biggest stage possible.
Competing inside the ONE Circle has given Musumeci an opportunity to showcase his elite skills to a wider and newer set of audience. At the same time, he benefits by sharing the stage with elite martial artists from various disciplines.
With a variety of martial arts on offer at the Singapore-based promotion, Musumeci has understandably thought about leaving his comfort zone to try his hand at MMA in the near future.

Although he did train Muay Thai earlier in his life, it would certainly be a steep learning curve for the submission grappling world champion should he decide to lace the 4-ounce gloves.
However, in a recent interview with ONE Championship, Mikey Musumeci seems confident that he can make a successful switch and reach the very pinnacle of the discipline.
He said:
“I think my work ethic, how I train, and everything is perfect to become an MMA World Champion.”
The flyweight champ is not the first and certainly won’t be the last grappler to want to try his hand at the all-encompassing sport.
Most recently, ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo has also suggested that he will give MMA a go.
