Not only did ‘Darth Rigatoni’ remain undefeated inside the Circle, but he also made history by becoming the promotion’s first-ever submission grappling world champion.
While away from the bright lights of ONE Championship’s global stage, Musumeci is sharing his thoughts on social media, including this most recent pearl of wisdom posted to his Instagram account, writing:
“In life sometimes we feel like we’re trapped in a cage…. Wait…. I am in a cage 🤣”

Okay, maybe that was more of a factual statement rather than a pearl of wisdom, but fans appreciated Musumeci’s declaration nevertheless.
One fan even suggested that the cage was meant to protect Musumeci’s favorite foods from being consumed by the New Jersey-born star:
“That is a protective cage to keep the pasta and pizzas of the world safe! 🦁🍝🍕”
Though we were treated to another spectacular Mikey Musumeci performance just weeks ago, fans are already chomping at the bit to see the submission grappling sensation back in the cage once again. If things go according to plan, we could see ‘Darth Rigatoni’ square off with another world champion.
Mikey Musumeci desperately wants to square off with Demetrious Johnson

Like a friendly roll, you know. We would make it however rolls that would be fair for him. And it would be an awesome match between me and him."
