Bodybuilder turned celebrity boxer Armz Korleone (real name Baffour Boateng) has been hit with a four-year suspension from the sport due to a drug violation from last year.
In a recent post on X, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) announced that Boateng has been suspended for four years, backdated from Nov. 13, 2023, for doping violations involving elevated levels of testosterone.
A Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) test done in November of last year revealed significantly elevated levels of synthetic testosterone in Korleone's system.
While a testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio of anything above 4:1 is deemed a violation per VADA guidelines, Boateng had a T/E ratio of 34:1, which is substantially higher than the acceptable limit.

Check out PBA's statement on Armz Korleone below:
Despite having had the option to produce a B sample for testing, the 31-year-old never produced one. Additionally, while he maintains his innocence and denies using synthetic testosterone, the celebrity boxing star has failed to dispute the judging within the stipulated 14-day limit.
As a result, the bodybuilder's unanimous decision win against Malcolm Minikon in their rematch at Misfits Boxing 11 on Nov. 17, 2023, has been overturned to a no-contest. Per the PBA ban timeline, the earliest he can return to active competition would be November 2027.
Interestingly, there is something similar between Korleone's two fights against Minikon. On both occasions, he had to be stretchered out of the venue by medical staff due to extreme exhaustion.

According to YT Boxrec, the Englishman holds an undefeated pro-boxing record of 2-0 with one of those wins coming via knockout.
While Korleone is going through a hard time in his pugilistic career, his former rival Minikon is set to enter the ring once again at the upcoming Misfits Boxing 017 on Aug. 31 in Dublin against British rapper DTG, in a cruiserweight tournament quarterfinal bout.
