A Texas-based MMA official, who has worked as a judge for three UFC pay-per-views, is currently facing felony charges for sex-related offenses involving minors.
Robert Griffin Alexander, age 49, was arrested earlier this month on felony charges of sexual contact, indecency with a child, and aggravated sexual assault on a child, per MMA Junkie.

UFC 271 was headlined by Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker in February this year at the Toyota Center. Judges gave the decision in favor of Adesanya, adding yet another ruby to the middleweight king's belt. Alexander issued a controversial, dissenting 29-28 score in favor of Roxanne Modafferi in her split decision loss to Casey O'Neill.
UFC 265 saw Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane fight it out for the interim heavyweight title. Gane claimed the victory, but failed to reap the benefits of it when matched up against the undisputed champion Francis Ngannou a few months later.
UFC 247 witnessed Jon Jones defend his light heavyweight belt for the last time in a controversial decision win over Dominick Reyes. The judges scored the bout 48-47, 49-46, and 48-47, but the majority of the MMA community believed Reyes had done enough to dethrone 'Bones.'
Alexander was not one of the judges who officiated the main event. However, he scored three other fights on the card: Youssef Zalal vs. Austin Lingo, Khaos Williams vs. Alex Morono, and Derrick Lewis vs. Ilir Latifi.
Current status of former UFC judge's felony charges
Documents obtained by MMA Junkie from the 10th District Court of Galveston County revealed that a Galveston County Sheriff arrested Alexander at 2:30 p.m. on October 14 and booked him into the County Jail. Bond was initially set at $40,000 for each offense and a hearing is currently scheduled for November 29.
The first-degree felony charge of aggravated sexual assault occurred in January 2000, and the alleged victim was younger than 14 years of age. The second-degree felony charge of sexual contact indecency took place around January 2010. The minor in this case was under 17 years of age.
Texas does not have a statute of limitations on crimes of a sexual nature.
