'The Truth' Brandon Vera is pumped to be back in the ONE circle again. Since losing his ONE heavyweight world title last year, the Filipino-American has been getting into shape for his return.
Speaking with The MMA Superfan, Vera explained:
"It’s been a long time. I lost my belt man, that one year felt like 10. It sucks. Feels like it’s been a long, long, long time. And usually with the schedule my career has been, I’ve always been one fight per year. But man, this one just seems like it’s taken a really long time. I’m glad it’s here. I’m glad I’m the one fighting. I’m glad I’m back."

Fans are looking forward to the comeback of Brandon Vera. He will look to get back in the win column when he faces Iranian juggernaut Amir Aliakbari at ONE 164 on December 3.
Amir Aliakbari is a highly skilled Greco-Roman wrestler who has won first place in the world championship and has qualified for the Iranian Olympic team. Though he is a grappler, Aliakbari likes to throw down with his opponents.
Brandon Vera is a veteran MMA combatant with decades of experience all over the world. He is a former ONE heavyweight world champion and will be seeking a win on December 3.

'The Truth' Brandon Vera won't just be looking to win at ONE 164, but he wants to earn this victory by way of knockout. While speaking with the CNN Sports Desk, Vera explained:
"Aliakbari is a big dangerous opponent. He's scary. But we've seen it in the past, you just have to touch him. And in this fight, whether it be five, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes, what are the odds that I'm going to touch him on the chin? Ask yourself that, and know that he's going to go to sleep one way or another."
