Dante Leon got sweet revenge against his former tormentor Tommy Langaker at ONE Fight Night 27 last Jan. 10.
The pair of Brazilian jiu-jitsu wizards figured in a 10-minute chess match inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with both combatants having their moments.
It was truly neck and neck once time elapsed since neither man scored a decisive catch (legitimate submission attempt). However, it was evident that Leon dictated the flow of the match with his pressure and brilliant sweeps from the guard, which eventually earned him the unanimous decision nod.

With the victory, the Canadian grappling ace was able to even up the score with Langaker. The Norwegian beat Dante Leon by points in their first meeting in the gi back in 2018.
With their series tied at 1-1, it's safe to say that a grudge match could be in order for these two.
Speaking during the ONE Fight Night 27 post-event press conference, Dante Leon explained why he's not interested in an immediate trilogy:
"I mean, not at the current moment. I think I won that match decisively. I think I was the clear winner in that match. I think I'm looking to move on to other opponents, and I think I'm looking to stay more towards the 170-pound weight class."
Dante Leon confident he can beat Kade and Tye Ruotolo
Dante Leon believes he already paid his dues, which is another reason he isn't particularly keen on a third match with Tommy Langaker.
After going 2-0 in the world's largest martial arts organization, the 29-year-old thinks he's due for a world title shot.
In his post-event interview, the Pedigo Submission Fighting standout expressed his desire to challenge lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo, or perhaps even his twin brother Tye, who rules the welterweight submission grappling division:
"Do I have a chance of beating Kade? Yeah, for sure. I have a chance of beating Kade. In the public eye and for the fans of ONE. I'm sure I'll be an underdog, but in my opinion, and to those who know, I think I'm far from an underdog and be their match with either of the brothers."
