Neither Movsar Evloev nor Aljamain Sterling will give any ground in their social media battle, with the Russian issuing another response to the latter's latest message. Their recent debate has circled around Evloev's supposed drug usage, which Sterling accused his UFC 307 opponent of.
After initially denying the accusation, Evloev issued a more stern response to Sterling's take on his physique. In his latest message, the wrestler said he would "punish" the former UFC champion when they meet on Oct. 5 and told his opponent not to "pull out."
Evloev tweeted:
"Where I'm from, making false accusations like that won't go well for you. But I'll be a businessman — I'll punish you and get paid for it. Just don't pull out."

Evloev's tweet was a response to Sterling's previous post telling the 30-year-old that he "can't deny" a previous claim that he is on performance-enhancing drugs. 'The Funk Master' called Evloev a "mental midg*t," writing:
"Lmao you still can't deny it! You're a mental midg*t that needs a needle up the bum! Tell me you haven't taught anyone how to cheat and get away with it... YOU CAN'T!"
Sterling and Evloev are scheduled to be on the pay-per-view main card of UFC 307 with the winner potentially entering the title conversation against the winner of the UFC 308 main event.
Aljamain Sterling vs. Movsar Evloev matchup
After 20 fights in the UFC at bantamweight, Aljamain Sterling made his 145-pound octagon debut at UFC 300 and dominated Calvin Kattar to immediately become a top-10 contender. After the win, Sterling called for several different matchups in the top five but ended up settling with the undefeated Movsar Evloev, who beat Arnold Allen earlier this year.
The fight was officially confirmed by Dana White as he announced the UFC 307 fight card headlined by UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira defending his title against Khalil Rountree Jr.
One month after UFC 307, Ilia Topuria will defend the featherweight title against Max Holloway at UFC 308, putting the winner of Sterling vs. Evloev in prime position should either fighter put on an impressive performance.
