"Muay Thai is in my blood" - Sitthichai ready to return to his roots to face Shadow at ONE Friday Fights 92

Highly respected striker Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong competes in Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts with the goal of winning 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold in both striking arts. He will return to his Muay Thai roots for his 11th fight under the ONE banner at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Friday, Dec. 20.

Speaking with the world's largest martial arts promotion, 'Killer Kid' said this about his upcoming clash with rising star Shadow Singha Mawynn inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:

"It's true that I have vast experience in kickboxing, but Muay Thai is in my blood. The two rules are not very different. I am ready to fight him, no matter which rules."

As the striking maestros prepare to get into an epic barnburner, both the Jitmuangnon Gym representative and Shadow face heightened stakes at ONE Friday Fights 92.

A victory for Sitthichai, the third-ranked ONE featherweight kickboxing and Muay Thai competitor, could bring him one step closer to eventually challenging for both crowns.

Meanwhile, Shadow is out to prove he deserves to receive a six-figure contract with ONE, which he could earn by thoroughly dominating or outright finishing Sitthichai.

Shadow predicts Sitthichai's strategy at ONE Friday Fights 92

Sitthichai's striking style relies mightily on landing his power shots to close out his combos. This is something that Shadow has taken time to study and prepare for leading up to their 155-pound Muay Thai duel at ONE Friday Fights 92.

In an interview with ONE, the 24-year-old standout said:

"Sitthichai's most fearsome weapon is probably his left kick. I have to be careful of his left kick and left punch. And also his vast experience because he is a veteran."
