It appears as though Muhammad Mokaev has officially finalized a deal with his new promotion after his unceremonious departure from the UFC. His departure was well-documented as Dana White announced it publicly during his post-event press conference at UFC 304.

White had claimed that the unbeaten flyweight had conducted himself unprofessionally on several occasions and even angered the matchmakers and UFC staff. 'The Punisher' had then publicly apologized and pleaded for another chance, but it doesn't look as though that was granted as he will be competing elsewhere.

After nearly a month of speculation, it was confirmed that the 24-year-old will be returning to Brave CF, where he competed prior to joining the UFC. House of Fight tweeted the promotion's statement via MMA Fighting, where they confirmed the signing and mentioned that they were thrilled to have Mokaev return. They wrote:

"We would like to welcome Muhammad Mokaev, an undefeated superstar, who is an amateur legend, with two IMMAF world titles, and someone who has proven to be the best flyweight in the world, with no losses to his amateur or professional record. This is a very exciting time or Brave CF." (via @mmafighting)

PFL CEO Peter Murray expressed interest in signing Muhammad Mokaev

It appears as though Muhammad Mokaev received interest from PFL CEO Peter Murray after his departure from UFC.

While speaking to Sherdog.com, Murray heaped praise on Mokaev and mentioned that he could be the face of the flyweight division should that be one the promotion decided to introduce. He said:

"[Mokaev is] a 13-0 flyweight from Dagestan. This kid has the second-longest winning streak in UFC flyweight history...23-0 as an amateur. When I look at a kid like that, that's an opportunity...I believe [he] could absolutely be the future face of flyweights within the Professional Fighters League, should that be a weight class we open up in the Global Season or within our Bellator platform."
