Muhammad Mokaev recently tweeted out asking for an opponent to face him as he confirmed that Matt Schnell has declined the offer to face him. The 22-year-old broke into the top 15 flyweight rankings when he defeated Malcolm Gordon via third-round submission at UFC 280 in October.

'The Punisher' seemed eager for his next challenge as he targeted a fight with No.8-ranked flyweight Schnell after previously having called out Kai Kara-France, who has since been matched up with Alex Perez for UFC 284 in Australia.

However, Mokaev confirmed that 'Danger' has turned down a bout against him in a tweet:

"He said no yesterday unfortunately. Please someone fight me! @ufc"

The No.14-ranked fighter is on an impressive three-fight win streak since signing with the UFC in 2021 and remains undefeated in his professional MMA career.

Muhammad Mokaev might only be 22 years old, but the Dagestan-born Englishman is already gunning to be the youngest champion in UFC history. The record is held by Jon Jones, who was 23 years old when he defeated Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua for the light heavyweight title.

Muhammad Mokaev expresses his appreciation for Dana White for changing his life

Muhammad Mokaev is truly a fascinating individual. The Dagestan-born Englishman came to England with his father as a refugee when he was just 12 years old. He joined the Manchester Wrestling Club in 2013 and went on to win multiple freestyle wrestling championships before eventually getting signed by the UFC.

A true rags-to-riches tale, Mokaev's rise to being the No.14-ranked flyweight in the world's premier MMA promotion is certainly an inspiring one. The 22-year-old recently expressed his gratitude to Dana White for the same.

In a Twitter post, Muhammad Mokaev shared two images showing his life before and after the UFC. Outlining his turn from receiving five pounds a day in benefits to winning a $50,000 bonus from the UFC president, 'The Punisher' wrote:

"It was all dream … @ufc. Selfie at the refugee center in Liverpool and second photo from outside of O2 arena in London! From £5 a day @ukhomeoffice refugee benefits to 50k from @danawhite."

Muhammad Mokaev made his promotional debut against Cody Durden at UFC Fight Night 204 earlier this year in London and earned himself a Performance of the Night bonus after securing a win via first-round submission in less than a minute. He fought in London once again in July, defeating Charles Johnson via decision.

He now seems eager to feature at UFC 286 in London again next year. It remains to be seen if the UFC will match him up with an opponent for the card.
