Nabil Anane is about to embark on a very difficult challenge that will truly test him to the max at ONE Fight Night 26.
The 20-year-old rising star has been on an absolute tear since losing his debut fight in ONE Championship against Superlek Kiatmoo9. Since then, he has proved himself to be one of the top contenders in the bantamweight Muay Thai division with five consecutive wins.
With age on his side, Nabil is still developing as an elite striker and his body is proof of that, with his towering stature giving him physical advantages over his opponents.
His next fight will see him make the switch to kickboxing where he will face a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion, who hasn't tasted defeat since 2020.

Petchtanong Petchfergus announced his return earlier this year by stopping Alaverdi Ramazanov. Now, he's out to halt one of the best win streaks on the roster.
Though this fight on Dec. 6 is a big ask for Nabil Anane, he believes it has come at the right time for him, telling ONE Championship in a recent interview that he's at his best right now:
"In every fight, I always say that I am in the best shape of my life. This fight is the same. I've been training continuously for a long time. My body is in tip-top form and I keep getting better."
Nabil Anane is continuing to evolve at the top level
We don't know how well Nabil Anane will stack up at the elite level in kickboxing but that's what makes his career so exciting.
His rise to the top of the Muay Thai division has been nothing short of spectacular and we still don't really know what his ceiling is because he continues to set that bar for himself.
If he's able to beat a former champion like Petchtanong in his kickboxing debut, all bets are well and truly off.
