The Paddy Pimblett experience in the UFC could be over sooner than most might have expected. As the lightweight prepares to enter his sixth fight in the octagon, Pimblett disclosed that his matchup with Bobby Green is the last on his current contract.
Pimblett told Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie on July 11 — 16 days before his clash with Green — that he is already eyeing potential options beyond the UFC in free agency. 'The Baddy' mentioned that he wants to re-sign with the promotion but would more than consider a potential boxing match with a big-name opponent.
Pimblett told Bohn:
"I'm going to want to fight someone higher in the rankings... We'll see what happens. This is the last fight on my contract. We'll be back to the negotiation table after this... You never know, though, one of these stupid YouTubers could offer me millions to fight one of them."

Fans were not enthused by 'The Baddy' teasing a potential free agency move, believing the fighter is not as big of a star as he thinks he is. However, some others felt that the English fan favorite is looking for a way out of the UFC.
One fan commented:
"My boy is looking for a way out lol"
Other fans commented:
"You can't hate on him for that"
"Bye! Take Meatball Molly with you please!"
"Would be a waste for us not to be able to see him get his a** whooped in the UFC"

Paddy Pimblett will face Bobby Green at UFC 304
Most lightweights have mentioned Paddy Pimblett in the last three years, and Bobby Green will have his wish granted at UFC 304.
In the third fight of the main card, the No.15-ranked contender will be entering enemy territory to face Pimblett, just as he called for at UFC 300. Green is coming off one of the most dominant wins of his career, battering Jim Miller across the cage for all three rounds.
Pimblett has yet to make an appearance in 2024, last beating Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 in December 2023. With a win, 'The Baddy' would crack the promotional rankings at 155 pounds for the first time in his career.
Since signing with the UFC in 2021, Pimblett has not lost, going 5-0 in the octagon.
