Ahead of his first world title defense on Jan. 24 at ONE 170 against third-ranked challenger Kwon Won Il, reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade has cited the reasons why he is the golden standard of the weight class.
In a recent talk with Sportskeeda MMA, the Brazilian MMA superstar pointed out the qualities that help him separate himself from other fighters in the division.
'Wonder Boy' explained:
"You know, I think what really sets me apart from the rest of the guys in my division is my determination, skill set, and confidence. I think this has helped me become the very best in the bantamweight category. And I'm sure it will continue to help me progress and evolve."

Fabricio Andrade thinks he still clears Kwon Won Il despite his improvements since their first fight
The Evolve MMA and Tiger Muay Thai athlete also believes that he is still better than his South Korean rival despite his three-fight resurgence, where he finished all his previous opponents by TKO.
Fabricio Andrade explained this during the ONE 170 press conference, where he stated:
"I think after he lost that fight, he went and he made a lot of improvements. And he showed that in his last three fights. He was able to finish all his three opponents. So he showed that's he improving, and especially on his grappling. He was able to finish his fight on the ground and pound in his last fight. So he definitely showed a lot of improvements. But I think I am still better than him."
ONE 170 will be available via watch.onefc.com. The exciting event will take place inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 24.
