Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Mayssa Bastos of Brazil knows she needs to be at her absolute best if she wants a repeat performance against former divisional queen Danielle Kelly this weekend.
Bastos and Kelly are set to run it back in a highly anticipated world title rematch. The 27-year-old Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy representative says she will need to be even better this time around.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Bastos talked about the need to put together a better performance against Kelly in their do-over.

Bastos said:
"My preparation is going very good. I have been training a lot in No Gi. Usually, I train a lot with kimono and No Gi, because I fight all year long in kimono and No Gi. But since my first fight against Danielle Kelly, I have been focusing more on No Gi."
She added:
"After the first fight against her, I fought in the ADCC and now I have this new fight against Danielle. So I haven't stopped training. My expectations are very high to win better and fight better than I did in the first fight."

Brazilian grappling icon Mayssa Bastos wants to leave no doubt when she takes on former divisional ruler Danielle Kelly in a rematch for the ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world title.
The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime this Friday, Dec. 6. The event will be held at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
