ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Mayssa Bastos is not just eyeing a successful defense of the crown against Danielle Kelly at ONE Fight Night 26 on Friday, Dec. 6. She also hopes to bring home a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
The nine-time IBJJF World Champion recently told ONE in an interview:
"In the first fight, I got this performance bonus, and my goal is to get this award again. In fact, my goal is to have a better performance and come out with a victory by submission."
She continued:

"If I win the prize, I will save and invest it, like I did last time."
Bastos received her first $50,000 performance bonus in the world's largest martial arts promotion when she dethroned then-reigning Kelly at ONE Fight Night 24 this past August in one of the best submission grappling bouts of the year.
With the Silver Fox BJJ product eager to return to the throne inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the onus is on the Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy product to deliver the best performance of her ONE career yet.
Danielle Kelly entering Mayssa Bastos rematch with win-at-all-costs mentality
Danielle Kelly acknowledges her world title rematch with Mayssa Bastos will be the perfect opportunity to reclaim the crown. Moreover, Bastos wants to prove that she is on the same level as the decorated Brazilian grappler.
Speaking with ONE, a determined Kelly laid out her goals for ONE Fight Night 26:
"Well, one is getting my belt back. But, two, it's definitely beating Mayssa, because, again, I don't care about the numbers and rankings."
ONE Fight Night 26 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
