Interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon has not given up on his aspirations of becoming a two-sport world titleholder.

The Superbon Training Camp star still wants to hold 26 pounds of gold in 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.

At ONE Friday Fights 81, the Thai warrior can move one step closer to that goal if he beats 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut on September 27 in the main event of the stacked card inside the fabled grounds of Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The first-ranked featherweight MMA contender told the South China Morning Post:

"I will defeat Jo Nattawut to get the title shot. My goal is to be a Muay Thai champion."

Superbon came close to becoming a Muay Thai champion in the world's largest martial arts organization at ONE Friday Fights 46 last year.

The 34-year-old pushed his compatriot and reigning featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai to the limit in a striking master class.

While Superbon had his moments throughout the epic slugfest, Tawanchai came away with the narrow majority decision win after five full rounds.

Meanwhile, Tawanchai and Jo Nattawut are also set to run it back for a third time at ONE 168: Atlanta on November 8 at State Farm Arena.

Superbon's win over Marat Grigorian can be his blueprint against Jo Nattawut

Superbon recaptured 26 pounds of gold at ONE Friday Fights 58 last April after outclassing familiar foe Marat Grigorian.

The Thai's fluidly destructive kicks were again his point of victory against the Armenian destroyer's punch-heavy assault.

That masterful distance management can serve him well against another aggressive foe who loves to close the distance.

If Tawanchai can keep 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut at bay with his sharp kicks, he'll certainly cripple the Thai Top Team star's relentless assault.
