Fourth-ranked ONE women's atomweight MMA competitor Alyona Rassohyna has spent most of her career chasing after greatness, and she is now just a few days away from her first opportunity at a ONE world championship.
Ahead of her ONE interim women's atomweight MMA world title showdown with Denice Zamboanga at ONE Fight Night 27 on Friday, Jan. 10, Rassohyna spoke with ONE to talk about her long journey towards becoming a world championship contender:
"I've been working toward this for a long time. I set a goal for myself long before I signed in this division that I would win the World Title, and my goals are materializing, so I'm happy with how much success I've had so far."

Boasting a career record of 13 wins, 11 of which came by submission, Rassohyna's ground game is one of the most refined and deadly in the stacked 115-pound MMA division.
While her craftiness has brought her much success, Rassohyna will need to ensure her skills are up to par after 'The Menace' declared her intent to test the extent of her grappling abilities.
ONE Fight Night 27 will take place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Denice Zamboanga reveals training for Alyona Rassohyna clash despite hamstring injury
Denice Zamboanga is not letting a minor hamstring injury derail her chance at winning her first ONE world championship at the expense of Alyona Rassohyna.
In an interview with ONE, the T-Rex MMA Training Center affiliate said:
"My training continued. Even though I suffered a minor injury, I never really stopped training. I avoided straining my hamstring. That's the only thing I took care of, but I stayed active even with the minor injury."
