Joe Rogan alleged that his ancestry has a criminal history. The 57-year-old may have spent most of his childhood in Newark, New Jersey, but he detailed that he had Italian roots. He also claimed his grandmother's sister had been to jail, that too, for murder.
Episode 2208 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) had the UFC color commentator talking to his host, Brigham Buhler, about the massive number of criminals who had immigrated to the US in recent years.
The JRE host also went deeper into his ancestral history, alleging that his grandmother had been behind bars for bookmaking, and her sister murdered her husband.
"Look, I am the product of immigration. My grandparents came here when it was very easy to come here, and a lot of people came here with criminals. Look, a lot of people in my family are criminals. They were Italians in the 1920s. My grandmother went to jail for bookmaking… My grandmother’s sister murdered her husband. These are wild people."

Joe Rogan accused his father of domestic violence and got himself into trouble
As per Joe Rogan, his grandmother's sister isn't the only one in his ancestry with a history of domestic violence. In an episode of his famous podcast, the 57-year-old alleged how he had a scarred childhood because of his father.
Rogan said:
"All my damaged s**t came from my real father before I was even seven. My real father was a psychotic person. He beat the f**k out of my mother. He beat the f**k out of my cousin."

However, these claims landed him in trouble, as his half-sister bashed him during an interview with Daily Mail UK.
Rogan may have brought several pivotal issues to light with his commentary on JRE, but sometimes he draws controversy as well.
