Thai-Algerian phenom Nabil Anane hasn't had an easy test on the global stage, and he's certain he has another tough one lined up at ONE Fight Night 26.
The Team Mehdi Zatout athlete dances alongside former divisional king Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing tilt inside the Lumpinee Stadium on Dec. 6.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post before he makes his seventh promotional appearance, the 20-year-old had this to say on his run and the level of opposition he's dealt with:
"Every single matchup of mine has been surprising. Each of my opponents have been exceptionally strong - from Superlek to Petchtanong."

Nabil Anane made his promotional bow in a blockbuster matchup against Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE Friday Fights 22 in June last year. Despite arriving with plenty of hype, 'The Kicking Machine' sent the six-foot-three fighter down inside the opening round.
The 20-year-old hasn't looked back since, looking more and more impressive with each passing fight. After suffering that loss, he's reeled in five back-to-back triumphs against Nakrob Fairtex, Muangthai PK Saenchai, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Felipe Lobo, and Soe Lin Oo.
He hopes to enjoy another positive result when he returns to the Mecca of Muay Thai against Petchtanong next.
ONE Fight Night 26 will be available to active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America for free this Friday, Dec. 6.
Nabil Anane suggests kickboxing ruleset will give him more room to advance behind his kicking game
There is a big question mark hanging over Nabil Anane's ability to take to kickboxing like a duck to water. With some limitations, such as clinching and elbows, many fear the young talent will find it hard to adjust.
However, the No. 5-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender begs to differ. In the same interview, he highlighted how the shift in rules could potentially favor him:
"I even think kickboxing is more suitable for me because I can use my legs to their full potential. Because kickboxing doesn't allow you to hold the legs."
