Ilias Ennahachi believes that it is only a matter of time before he has gold wrapped around his waist once again.
It has been some time since the former champion last competed under the ONE banner. During his initial three-fight run with the promotion, Ennahachi was able to claim the flyweight kickboxing world championship with a stunning victory over Superlek Kiatmoo9.
However, competing at flyweight wasn't something that he could maintain so eventually, the decision to move up a weight class was made for him. Ennahachi is now set to return as a bantamweight on Sept. 27 at ONE Friday Fights 81.
He will face a fellow former world champion in Hiroki Akimoto, who is looking to climb back to the top of the division. Unfortunately for the Japanese fighter, Ennahachi believes that no one in this weight class is going to be able to stop him due to his versatility.

He told the South China Morning Post that this is what separates him from the pack:
"Yeah, but like I always say, every fighter has a different style. My style is too different for these guys. I can fight with pressure, I can fight backwards, I can fight everywhere."

Ilias Ennahachi will need to show that on Sept. 27
Ilias Ennahachi will need to be at the top of his game after a long time away from competition if he's going to get his hand raised at Lumpinee Stadium.
Hiroki Akimoto may have had his big return at ONE Fight Night 22 ruined by Wei Rui but that doesn't mean he isn't still one of the top strikers in this division. Their clash at ONE Friday Fights 81 will see one of the former champs take their position as a top contender at bantamweight.
Given the heights that they have both achieved in the past, you can expect a high-level chess match on Sept. 27.
