Shamil Gasanov believes that his strongest skill set will be key to securing the victory when he returns at ONE Fight Night 26.
Throughout his time in ONE Championship, 'The Cobra' has become well known for one thing in particular and that's his wrestling ability.
Wins over the likes of Kim Jae Woong, Oh Ho Taek and Aaron Canarte have proven his prowess in this area and in his opinion, Dec. 6 will be no different.
In a pivotal featherweight contest, he will face off with Turkey's Halil Amir who recently moved down to the weight class as a former lightweight.

His featherweight debut may not have gone to plan but this wasn't a major setback because he lost to Akbar Abdullaev who will now be facing Tang Kai for the world championship at ONE Fight Night 27 next year.
During his time at lightweight, Amir showed that he is a well-rounded and dangerous competitor but Gasanov doesn't think that this will be an issue.
He told ONE Championship in a recent interview that the proof is in the pudding when it comes to his wrestling ability:
"I think my uniqueness lies in my wrestling. In my four fights so far, there hasn't been anyone I couldn't take down."
Shamil Gasanov can put himself back in the mix with a win
Halil Amir may be coming off of a loss but fight fans who know what they're talking about are aware of how big a win would be for Shamil Gasanov.
Just like his opponent, he has suffered one loss alongside his three victories under the ONE Championship banner.
Though he was submitted by Garry Tonon at ONE Fight Night 12 last year, Amir doesn't bring the same level of submission threat to the table.
If Gasanov can earn his biggest win to date over a highly regarded opponent, he can emerge as a potential title challenger in the near future.
