Dominick Cruz recently leveled some accusations against Henry Cejudo. The former UFC bantamweight champion claimed that after Cejudo refused to fight him, the two were booked to compete on the same card by one of the promotion's matchmakers.
There's no love lost between Cruz and Cejudo. In their previous fight at UFC 249 in May 2020, 'Triple C' beat Cruz via second-round knockout. However, their differences were never quite settled, and the two continued to verbally spar on social media and in interviews. While a rematch never materialized, the two are set to share spots on the UFC Seattle card next month. Cruz will face Rob Font, whereas Cejudo will fight Song Yadong in the main event.

In a recent interview with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen on the Good Guy/ Bad Guy show, Cruz reacted to Cejudo allegedly refusing a rematch and said:
"Henry won't take that fight. He just won't, so they just put him on the same card as me, which is funny to me. [Sean] Shelby did that. I didn't know they were going to put us on the same card. Shelby knows what he's doing... I probably, with my words, embarrassed him a lot, and he probably doesn't want to go through that again."

Henry Cejudo on Dominick Cruz fight talks causing friction with UFC brass
Henry Cejudo recently got honest about the discussions regarding a potential Dominick Cruz went with the UFC brass. The former two-division UFC champion revealed that there was some friction between him and Hunter Campbell due to their past negotiations and claimed he was open to fighting Cruz if that's what the promotion wanted.
In an episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman, Cejudo detailed his stance on fighting Cruz again and said:
"If the UFC wants to make [Cejudo vs. Cruz 2] let's make it happen... I don't wanna get into a fight with Hunter [Campbell] anymore. I'm allowing Hunter to really pick the fight; if he wants to give Dominick Cruz that fight, then let's do it."
