Fabricio Andrade has been one of the most exciting prospects in ONE Championship since debuting in 2020.

He's now on the cusp of the biggest fight of his career this Friday at ONE on Prime Video 3, where he'll challenge bantamweight champion John Lineker. With the challenger's recent form, the biggest names in ONE have started to take notice.

Having been praised in the past by the likes of Giorgio Petrosyan, Andrade recently received more acclaim. ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson placed ‘Wonder Boy’ as one of his favorite fighters to watch right now.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade spoke about how it feels to be talked about by some of the most legendary competitors in combat sports:

“It's very gratifying, especially being a fan of theirs' and following their careers since I was a kid, when I was still starting my career. After watching them for so long, to see that today they follow my fights and even cheer for me, it's very gratifying. It shows that my work is being done well and is being recognized. Everything I dreamed of is coming true.”

With the US primetime spotlight on him in the main event against a champion like John Lineker, the stage couldn’t be set up any better for Fabricio Andrade to show his supporters just how good he really is.

For the biggest fight of his life to date, Fabricio Andrade will get the chance to fight for a world title in front of a packed-out Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With the spotlight of ONE on Prime Video 3 and a huge bantamweight world title fight against John Lineker, this isn’t just his biggest test to date, it’s his biggest occasion.

Since debuting with ONE in 2020, Fabricio Andrade has shown himself to be one of the most exciting prospects in the promotion. However, this will be his first time fighting in front of fans.

With all of his work up to this point being done behind closed doors, Andrew Whitelaw from Asian MMA asked Andrade how he feels about fighting in Malaysia this time around:

“Yeah, it is really nice, but I think it's going to be even nicer because it's going to be my first time fighting for the public, actually. People are going to be there because all my fights in ONE were not in public at all. So I'm more excited about that. For me, it doesn't matter where it is but to have the people there cheering and screaming, that's going to make me even more excited.”
