Nabil Anane looks to exact revenge on Superlek at some point
Nabil Anane's defeat at the hands of Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his promotional debut in June last year still resonates to him to this day. It is something he is looking to redeem himself from at some point in the future.
The 20-year-old Team Mehdi Zatout representative was knocked out by Superlek, the reigning flyweight kickboxing and bantamweight Muay Thai champion, in his maiden ONE outing.
Having learned from the defeat and building his legs in ONE Championship since, Anane believes that when he takes on 'The Kicking Machine' again he will perform better.
In the same interview with Nic Atkin after his victory at ONE Friday Fights 81, he said:
"Now he's [Superlek] the [bantamweight] champ. Maybe in the future, I will have an opportunity to get my revenge."
Anane is currently the No. 4 bantamweight Muay Thai contender after immediate former divisional king Jonathan Haggerty, Nico Carrillo of Scotland and Nong-O Hama of Thailand.
