As a championship fight, it will be contested in a 12, three-minute, round affair, with the Inoue's undisputed super bantamweight title on the line. For Inoue, who is undefeated at 27-0 with 24 wins by knockout/TKO, it will be his chance to extend and tighten his stranglehold over the super bantamweight division.
He is expected to win, and he will look to use his vaunted punching power to become the first fighter to knock Doheny out. The Irishman, meanwhile, is a 30-fight veteran with 26 wins and four losses. Like Inoue, he is a heavy-handed boxer and has stopped 20 opponents thus far.
Moreover, Doheny is a former IBF super bantamweight champion. Unfortunately, his chances of winning, at 37 years old no less, are slim, with the oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook listing Inoue as a -5000 favorite, while Doheny is a +1700 underdog.
