Naoya Inoue looks to extend his undefeated professional boxing record when he defends his undisputed super bantamweight status against TJ Doheny.
On September 3, Inoue will make his 28th walk in a professional boxing match. The Japanese superstar is coming off knockout wins against Stephen Fulton, Marlon Tapales, and Luis Nery, extending his record to 27-0, including 24 wins inside the distance.
Inoue's next fight goes down inside the Ariake Arena in Japan, as he plans to further his status as a pound-for-pound king. The 31-year-old's latest challenger will be Doheny, an Irishman who's riding a three-fight win streak, all finishes, against Kazuki Nakajima, Japhethlee Llamido, and Bryl Bayogos.
Doheny hopes to pull off a massive upset in Japan to become the new undisputed super bantamweight world champion.

Before Naoya Inoue vs. TJ Doheny, four matchups with professional boxing titles on the line will take place on the September 3 main card.
The first main card matchup features Ismael Barroso (25-4-2), who took out Ohara Davies in January to bounce back from a controversial loss against Rolly Romero. Barroso now looks to defend his interim WBA super lightweight world title against Andy Hiraoka, a Japanese boxer with a perfect 23-0 record (18 KO/TKOs).
Next up is two fights for non-major titles. Toshiki Shimomachi (18-1-3) will defend his Japanese super bantamweight strap against Ryuya Tsugawa (13-1), while Jin Sasaki plans to retain his OPBF and WBO Asia Pacific welterweight throne against Australia's Qamil Balla (15-1-1).
In the co-main event, Yoshiki Takei looks to extend his record to 10-0 by defending his WBA bantamweight strap. To do so, the 28-year-old must take out fellow Japanese boxer Daigo Higa (21-2-1), who's won four consecutive fights in the last two years, including back-to-back knockouts heading into the Ariake Arena event.

According to Top Rank, the five-fight main card will start on ESPN+ at 2:30 am ET on Tuesday, September 3, with the central time stream launching at 1:30 am CT. For West Coast fans, the event begins on Monday, September 2 at 11:30 pm PT.
