Nassourdine Imavov's coach sets the record straight on Brendan Allen's corruption allegation against French commission ahead of UFC Paris

Nassourdine Imavov snapped Brendan Allen's seven-fight win streak at UFC Paris. However, it was Allen's pre-fight comments that have become the center of controversy.

The American middleweight took to Instagram to accuse the French commission of corruption. He claimed that both he and lightweight contender Renato Moicano were forced to undergo additional testing after weigh-ins, while their French opponents faced no such requirements.

Allen, who made the non-title fight limit at 186 pounds, described the situation, stating:

“Made weight no problem. Then they’re going to tell me that I have to give blood. First urine. First, they said urine. Right off the scale. So dehydrated, waited three hours and finally had to pee. Then they tell me I’ve got to give blood on top of that... So while my opponent gets to go upstairs [fighter hotel] and sleep after he makes weight I have to stay down for what three-and-a-half hours. No main, like the top guy of France had to do this sh*t."

Imavov's coach Nicolas Ott has offered some clarity on the matter, claiming that French fighters Kevin Jousset and Taylor Lapilus underwent the same tests as Allen and Moicano. He wrote on X:

"The problem is AFLD [French Anti-Doping Agency] still doesn't seem to understand the cutting system. They did the same thing to [Benoit Saint Denis] at the first UFC Paris, and Taylor and Kevin suffered the same thing as Brendan yesterday. He didn't receive any special treatment because he's American." [Translated from French]
