Nassourdine Imavov sent a warning to Sean Strickland after the latter's latest controversial social media post.
It's no secret that Strickland isn't afraid to voice his opinions in person and on social media. Earlier this week, the former UFC middleweight champion received backlash for targeting Muslims with this message posted on X:
"Islamic extremist...... You mean people who actually follow the Qurans teaching? Islam contributes nothing to the world besides violence and oppression. It is not compatible with America and freedom."
Imavov responded to Sean Strickland's controversial social media post with the following message:

Nassourdine Imavov has a history with Sean Strickland before the religious dispute on social media. In January 2023, Imavov and Strickland headlined a fight night main event inside the APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Strickland emerged victorious by unanimous decision before becoming the middleweight champion later that year.
No.5-ranked Imavov has bounced back from his loss against Strickland with consecutive wins against Roman Dolidze (majority decision), Jared Cannonier (fourth-round knockout), and Brendan Allen (unanimous decision).
Nassourdine Imavov could be one win away from desired rematch against Sean Strickland
Sean Strickland's middleweight title reign was short-lived, with Dricus du Plessis defeating him in his first defense in January 2024. Strickland has since bounced back with a split decision win against Paulo Costa, leading to an opportunity to regain UFC gold.
On Feb. 8, Strickland will face middleweight king du Plessis in a rematch at UFC 312. The event goes down inside the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Meanwhile, Nassourdine Imavov will fight one week earlier in a fight night main event against No.2-ranked former world champion Israel Adesanya.
With a win over Adesanya, Imavov's only competition for the next middleweight title shot is No.3-ranked Khamzat Chimaev. Therefore, Imavov could potentially earn the opportunity over Chimaev or face Strickland in a rematch if the latter loses against Du Plessis.
Firstly, Imavov must overcome his toughest test yet against Adesanya. 'The Last Stylebender' heads into the Saudi Arabia event following consecutive world title losses against Strickland and du Plessis.
